well got them put on a week ago and they are great. not too much rumble and better than stock sound. next step is a high flow cat and new pulley. am i going to be close to 300 bhp or do i need anymore mods?

You're expecting to jump 60hp with a new intake, muffs, and cat? That's somewhat ambitious. I would expect you to be in the area of 260hp with those mods. I'd advise you drop the money on PCM, 3" downpipe and full 3" or 2.5" custom exhaust (instead of just muffs). Drop to a colder range plug and pop on a smaller pulley.

i'd have to agree with rook on that one, i seriously doubt that you have that much hp. with some more mods though, you'll be there. congrats on your new sound coming out of that gp's backside! smile

Yup, you'll need a PCM, 3" D/P, and one range colder plugs to help control KR you'll be getting from the pulley. KR will kill your HP.
Here's my dyno sheet from last year. KR killed my horsepower. This was with a 3.4", PCM, CAI, U-bend delete, and Flowmaster 40's.
I've since installed 3" D/P and colder plugs. Butt-dyno notice a huge difference. Haven't had a chance to get back on an actual dyno, yet.

Can you get a recording of your mufflers on here? I was thinking about those dynomax, would like to hear what they sound like.

You had better get a 3" DP with the new cat, and I'd highly suggest a PCM. Those things can do wonders for killing KR and increasing performance.

PCM? not sure how much KR they kill and how much performance they give,,except removing top speed limit, and changing shit points. true a down pipe is next after the plugs. cheers

PCM also remaps fuel curves and timing tables. It's not a direct effect on KR but with the PCM your other mods work to their potential. Why put more air in and more air out if you can't get the extra fuel and timing to make a bigger bang to drive you that much faster? Remember there is a magic balance of air/fuel ratio if you put more air in to make more power you need more fuel. If your bringing in more air then the PCM can supply fuel for then you have a lean condition which leads to knock. This is more noticeable on carborated cars because there is no computer to control a good air/fuel mixture. That's why you had to tune a carborator.

bigant, the pcm controls a lot of things, including timing advance (and retard) which can also help in squeezing out more performance.
