brakelight is comeing on when i floor it

I just forgot about this when the low oil pressure light came on....

when i floor it the parking break light comes on. it dosent do it everytime but when it does do it the car feels faster( ususaly because its cooler out.)

i am thinking another bad sensor?

the brake fluid is fine.

If you look under the dash on the drivers side, you can see the parking brake and the switch that tells the computer if its on or not (its a pretty neat little design too). I would inspect that to make sure nothing is disconected, damaged under there.

i did a search and found this topic, i have the same problem. my light comes on whenever i go about 2500rpm. anyone have any take on this? was the break light issue ever solved?

same for me but ... i didnt have enough brake fluid .. make SURE you check that first thing cuz that was my problem wesley GTP

If your brake fluid is low, check the life of your front pads. It may be nearing time for them to be replaced.

lol, actually, i rarely floor it as of late. just when it goes over 2-3000 rpms does the E-brake light kick on.

also, judging from the level on the master cylinder, it is full. anything else i might try to check?

That's neat idea but that's funny. I have seen some cars have same problem. Not gp. I have seen new BMW have same problem last week. I guess this person hit brake too hard that cause something broken or whatever lol
