Will a K&N 7" Air filter slip right on the the hose coming out of the air box in a 99 gt? If so can I keep the bottom half of the air box intact to house the ECM? If not where is the best place to put the ecm?

With my thrasher kit, my pcm sits under the casing. They included a 1/2 piee of foam pad that was sticky on one side to adhere to the pcm and it just sit there under the K+N. They also incuded an aluminum cover, What it pertects I don't know. You don't want to pull hot air from the radiator, so the k +n should be enclosed so it pulls air from behind he head light. Hope this helps.

I just out mine in the other day. I had the same problem, I cut the Air box and made a fiberglass top on it. You have to make it really small or it wont fit. Cpu is covered real well and has not got wet yet.

I removed my airbox from the filter forward. Used some coat hanger wire to make some clips that hold the air filter to whats left of the airbox. Increased airflow and the blower whine sounds great too!

I took out everything from the throttle body forward. Bought a 3" (I think) rubber coupler from the PVC area of Home Depot. Then bought a 45 degree PCV bend. The cone attaches to the 45, the 45 is installed on the throttle body with the rubber coupler.
I want to make an air box next, I don't really like sucking in the air around the engine. But while driving, I think it's probably getting enough cool air, but while sitting at idle, it's got to be sucking in really hot stuff.

No but I'll try and take some. It's nothing pretty. Really ghetto actually. But it works and it was cheap.
