What's up GTP pussies? Now I know your thinking to yourselves, "A SHO?... You gotta be kidding me right?" WRONG!!! mad Don't be hatin' You can't touch 3.6 liters that have 24 valves and dual overhead cams... Oh yeah did I forget the custom turbos i got?? How bout two (2) T-40's producing about 18-20 pounds of boost? I know I'm gonna be hated on this website but I just had to let you know that your 3.8SC is OLD new to me, RICK JAMES B!TCH! cheers

Why are you here? Are you joking? Remember, you're driving a TAURUS. SHO's are cool, but come on. What's your problem? You said, "Is OLD new to me". What the hell does that mean? Oh, that's right, the SHO was so great and popular that they stopped making it. Hmmm, automakers usually don't discontinue outstanding models that sell. By the way, in the automotive repair world, Taurus's are considered one of the worst, junkiest sedans you can buy. I personally get dollar signs in my eyes whenever one pulls into my lot. Oh well, what do I know anyways. You obviously sound more like the intelligent one here, from what you've posted so far. If you are really going to post things like this on a regular basis, which isn't cool and is pointless, then you might as well leave. After this, you will be ignored anyways.

Have a nice day!

I used to own a SHO and it wont reliable, which was one of the reasons I sold it...besides which, are you so bored in a city of 8 million people (or the rest of the state for that matter) that you have to try to drum up action by smearing someone elses message boards? guys like you always want to show up with your highly modded one-off ride and brag about how you spanked another car that was nearly stone stock. Just like the old schoolyard bully that talks much trash and makes sure he always picks the fights he's sure he can win. Even if someone from this site with a similarly modded GTP showed up to race, you suddenly develop a problem and go home. Proof positive that some punks just never grow up. I havent even bought a GP yet, but now I'm sure I never want another SHO so as not to be associated with childish assholes like yourself.

First off, I have to say great English. It really makes you look intelligent when you don't even know how to make a complete sentence. Also, congratulations on having twin turbos that are pumping 18-20 pounds of boost. By the way, how much did that cost again? Oh what, just one of the turbos is worth more than your car? Interesting. I guess if you want to play with turbos I'm sure you can find a Grand National around that would be willing to destroy you. Those cars are even older than your 1909 SHO and they have a similar model of our old fashioned engines. By the way, who is it that made the engine in the SHO? Oh yeah, that's right, it was Yamaha because Ford couldn't make one for themselves. One last thing, are we old or new to you? I couldn't really tell what exactly you meant to say. Is that why you had to correct yourself in your second post?

Well said. SHOTime, why are you bragging about how much money you had to stick into your Family Truckster to get it to kick a stock GM's ass? Yeah, maybe I'll put a bunch of turbos on an Escort, and then go onto some site and make myself look like a fool. Remember, money makes anything fast. You don't impress anyone here. You're basically making yourself look like an ass. This site basically consists of respectable, intelligent people with a common interest; you obviously don't fit in at all. What did we do to you anyway? Did someone here go onto your site (if there is one) and try to start shit? Didn't think so. Yes, I know that I'm just saying exactly what you want to hear, and that I'm just fueling the fire. Some here may not agree with responding to your high school, low-IQ, meaningless commentary. Not me; I think it's fun. I've seen alot on the web, but haven't actually conversed with a person with no genitalia. I must say, this is a first. Anyways, I look forward to your reply.

PS, Remember to keep some spare tie rod ends, ball joints, radiators, transmissions, and oil dry in your glove compartment for when you're "showing someone your taillights" next; you'll probably need them soon. By the way, wasn't the Taurus available as a station wagon too?

Oh, and anyone who says that a Taurus is the best car they've ever owned must be a former member of the Pinto site.

By the way, I really hope that you increased the displacement of your engine because the SHO, or any Taurus for that matter, was never offered with a 3.6 liter engine. It would be terrible if you didn't even know the size of your own engine. I'm sure if any of us put the amount of money you did into your car, we would be waiting for you at the finish line.

The later '96-newer ones had a small V8. What size was that engine? Maybe no one really knows, since they could never sell any, and barely anyone's seen one.

Thanks for coming to the site. Obviously you are a very smart individual, being a CEO of a Fotune 500 company and all. In fact, so smart that you have trouble seeing the big "3.0" plastered on your engine.

On a serious note, the SHO's are crappy cars. They are the worst handling load of crap ever built. You should check my site out in my signature, we beat the shit out of my friend's SHO. Even he'll admit the best day was when he totaled it.

Hey guys... let him have is fun and then ignore him. He'll go away when he sees he can't get a rise out of us.

I really don't want this to turn into some ridiculous thread that resembles something over on ClubGP's AAG forum.

Let's please try and remember we can act better than that.

Thanks,
Marc

Haven't anyone of you heard of stroking an engine? Yes, I know my motor is made by Yamaha.
Yes, I have put a lot of money in it... But not because it breaks! If you know how actually maintain a vehicle they don't break like you think. And as far as family truckster GTP's come as a sedan as well as the coupe. Gee, sounds like someone doesn't know much about THEIR cars to me. A couple of comments and I'm out. It's sad that GM engineers aren't bright enough to develop a modern engine. Oh wait didn't they try a 3.4 DOHC 24V six for the GTP's? Now those GTP's are a disgrace to Pontiac. By far the slowest piece of crap I've ever raced. Ford has tons of overhead cammers, now, go to a dealership and find out for yourself. Wasn't the 3.8 designed in like the 1950's? Just to get something comparable they had to supercharge a lame engine. Also sad that stock vs. stock a SHO will destroy a GTP at highway speeds. And for the record I like GTP's and Pontiac for that matter. My other car is a 1966 GTO which I'd be happy to spank another GN with. And I wasn't trying to spread hate, just letting you know whats out there. Thanks

You have a funny way of not spreading hate. Why are you ragging on GM when Ford didn't even build the SHO engine? You yourself admitted it's made by Yamaha. Taurus's break regardless of maintenance. They're rattle traps. The transmissions suck. They handle like crap. The toe rods always get loose, sieze up, or break. The sway bar links loosen up and clunk around. The struts piss oil like a siv. The coil springs break. The heater cores leak, which is a 7 hour job to replace. Obviously I DON'T know much about cars; what ASE Certifications do you have? Where is your business located? How much automotive schooling have you attended over the past 10 years? The well known fact in the real automotive world is that the 3.8 is one of the most reliable, durable, easy to service engines available today; and it still meets today's strict low-emission vehicle requirements, so there's no reason to terminate it. Take a look at some of the current Ford TSB's out there, on their "modern" engines. Spark plugs shooting out of 5.4 V8's, head gasket problems, the list goes on. Yeah, GM isn't bright enough to release any new engines. Like the new Ecotec 4 cylinder. The new five cylinder with drive-by-wire used in the Envoy. The 400hp Corvette engine. The Northstar. The Aurora engine. The recent years' lineup contains almost 100% new powertrains. And they are all designed and built by GM, not Yamaha. And yes, the GP IS available as a four door sedan; no shit, Sherlock. I own one. Sounds like you're one of the ones living in magazine-land. Have you ever seen any real automotive quality and reliability reports? Do you know that Ford is on its ass right now in sales, and that GM is breaking records? Anyways, to be truthfull, I used to be a big Ford guy myself. But I constantly noticed that Fords are tougher to service, and break more frequently on average. This was including my own. It's not opinion, it's fact. Look it up sometime. Anyone could go round and round with this forever; the fact is that we KNOW what else is out there, and don't need to be reminded by some childish, uneducated punk who really doesn't know anything outside of his (discontinued) SHO world. Maybe YOU should realize what else is out there, and pull your head out of your ass.

MMMM isn't the Northstar a DOHC??? The ZR-1 is DOHC. Besides OHC has been around since the 20s what's so new about it? Let's see Ford couldn't make a push rod motor with enough HP to satisfy the CAFE standards so they had to build a smaller DOHC engine. Spreadin hate look at the first line of your original post. Nuff said.

Let's think your SHO is the fastest car in the world...having an owner as stupid as you, devaluates more this car.
You could have the money to set a Boeing's turbo, You are still an idiot.

But thanks for the fun. cheers

Well I am not going to spend my valuable time setting straight some uneducated punk, but I will say this, I was unlucky enough to enherit an 86 taurus when I was 16 and if there was a moving part on that car it broke! it was the biggest POS I ever owned, I now own a GTP & it has been more reliable than any ford I `ve ever owned, just out of curiosity: how many trannys have you burned? how many CV joints have you replaced ETC. I know I changed a lot of that on my "low power" model.. I can`t even begin to imagine what effect a little power would have on those shitty parts.
I also own a DOHC GM called the oldmobile aurora, with 10 years and 112K on the speedo, it runs as smooth as a cadillac,,,I think that I `ve just mentioned a popular expression with a GM anotation, well I guess nobody says it runs as smooth as an SHO anymo...

by the way,,, GM supercharging its engines to make their cars competent,,,the 04 cobra is supercharged & can`t touch the Z06......... supercharged Z06,,,,imagine what that would be like.

Oh, I forgot. In your infinite wisdom, I assume that you know that the only reason Ford got rid of the 5.0, the 4.9 I-6, the 3.0V6, and soon their 3.8V6 is that they wouldn't run clean enough to meet the Fed's emissions and mileage standards. This was even WITH the sometimes FOUR catalytic converters and air pumps that were on them. Hmmm, I wonder which engineers have their head up their ass....
