Pacesetters are being hacked up and used as headers for the turbo.
Didn't say twinchargered
Are you having a built intake like Regal Steve made is what I meant...
I didn't mean 2 ic, what I meant is using what you already have installed as the ic system. [/b]
I see what you're saying after Randall explained it, my bad.

Here is a pic of the intake before the welds were cleaned up. Looks pretty rough right now.

Definitely not pretty.
Are you going for uniqueness?

No. Going for something that is going to perform really good.

Update: Got the turbo in today. It is an absolute monster. Weighs close to 50 pounds, looks like I might have to make a bracket to support the weight of the thing.

That's a must. You'll crack the welds in your mani's and crossover for sure if you don't.

You could easily make one that bolts to the trans bellhousing just below the crossover

Could you go into more detail on what this pic shows? I guess I'm having a hard time understanding it. Looks like a really cool idea but are you going to have anything covering the the intake manifold?

That is an L67 lower intake manifold with the inlet mostly welded up. The big block with the round hole and 3 bolts sticking out of it is the LS1 throttle body adaptor. He is going to be bolting the LS1 tb to that so instead of the tb facing sideways like all other setup's it is facing up.

The coolant holes and PCV etc is all blocked off and he is doing a catch can for PCV I believe.

I'll let Corey give you the exact details but that is the gist of it.

And that's why we keep you around. laugh

That is a real good idea that I think I might just have to use.

Alpine- Randall pretty much summed it up. It is just an LS1 TB adapter plate welded directly on top of an L67 LIM. I will be running a catch can, so all of the other bolts will be tapped or welded shut.

50lbs...good gosh. Well at least you'll lose that much with the blower off the intake manifold.

How big is that turbo compared robthe one Steve last installed on the regal?

Has a vertical TB been done before or is this the first time anyone has attempted it?

Not really sure. I'm sure that someone has done it on another car before, but I have never seen it on the 3800.

I don't know what size his was. I know he had a T67 for a while (the HX 52 is bigger than the T67), but I think he went bigger. I think his was a little bigger than this.
