Chris, that is the next step. We already have the design made up, but it's a lot of money in fabbing and metal, so that will come when the head gaskets blow and I throw the ST5, ported heads, 130's, and head studs in there.

That does make some good sense Corey to eliminate boost leaks doing it that way, as long as it doesn't interfere with changing things and getting to stuff.

Yeah. The only real bolts that we have to wary of are the LIM bolts, which isn't much of a problem as long as you plan around it. The TB flange will be even easier to get to then the stock one, as it should be out by itself away from everything.

If your worried about boost leaks just weld all the pipes together and use only 4 couplers i.e from the turbo, into the ic, from the ic, to the tb. To be honest though with long enough couplers that aren't garbage you shouldn't leak.

And on the tb flange im assuming it isn't directly mounted to you intake mani anymore and that you placed it further away?

Not much of an update, but I mounted the turbo timer in the center console. (I know, I know, cool story bro)

Edit: Almost forgot, I also finished up the wiring and such in the trunk.

Just saw this.. no, it it mounted a off of the intake manifold, as it makes a 90* bend out of the LIM with the TB flange facing the passenger side now.

What sort of shot are you running Corey? Wet/dry?

I've been looking into a nitrous kit, just dont even know where to look for parts for a budget build.

I'm probably going to run a 75-100 shot, wet. I got huge injectors in plans of running a dry shot, but don't need them with the wet kit, so I'm going to be able to run e85 when it becomes available around here. I got the kit for $375 shipped on clubgp in the for sale section.

You're going to need one killer ass tune bro. Not some backyard change some tables street tune. What are your boost plans? How much cfm per psi does that thing push? Really consider the setup dude before you spray it.

Your build but id try to push as much as I could out of the turbo before spraying it with that much. Your going to be creeping up a dangerous road dude.

GL with the trans aspect too. Shit is no longer cheap where you're going. And take it from me swapping stock trans every time is NOT worth it.

I know, the tranny is a scary thought, but I'm going to be buying a bad one and rebuilding it with the best parts available to me while I wait on this one to grenade. Once the tranny goes, I will be going with the ST5, 130's, etc.

The tune is going to be a lot of work, but I think I can handle it. The spray isn't going to be coming for a while, it's just there so I can be ready when I'm not happy with it anymore. I think I'll be happy with the Holset without nitrous for a while.

ST5 is great but if your going to do head work id see if Matt could get you the grind specs on their higher race cams.

Sucky thing is there are no best parts because they haven't found a way to retrofit the chains available yet...

The setup looks promising dude have fun with it. I'd do meth before doing nitrous imo. Lots safer and will make more power without dropping a chunk of change everytime you refill lol.

I'm glad someone is going for big power again lol.

I miss my gp but ill live my dreams of 500whp in a gp through this one lmao.

Well feel good that both of ya can do engine mods. I can't even install headers without messing up something or ruining something.

Pick up a cheap GP and build it like this. I'm going to be picking up a cheap set of heads and porting them myself, along with the transmission and doing it myself, but the hard parts alone on these things aren't cheap.

As for the chain, I'm aware, but hopefully someone figures something out by the time I'm ready to go.

Welder went by my house today so I didn't have to drive home for a quick test fit. The rear header is ready to go, and the y-pipe to the turbo should be done early next week, along with the intake manifold.

So in a few weeks when I head home it should be ready to go through some final mounting.

Then it's onto the downpipe and the intercooler piping.
