A few questions...Im going with super 40's, getting them from ebay but which ones? center outlet, but I dont know what inlet (does it matter if its centerend). What sizes do they have the in/out have to be...2.5"? Im keeping the stock pipes but doing a u-bend delete, so where can I get a cheaper bolt-up 3" d/p. thanks you guys

center inlet, off-center outlet. 2.5'' in/out. Try www.zzperformance.com or www.wbodystore.com for the DP.

Something with a rolled tip. I personally prefer 2x duals or a wide, oval tip like the original. However, a single round looks good as well (like Austin's Hooker big bores).

I found the tips i like... tips

Can i just go with 3" piping all the way back, or should I stay with the stock 2.5"? If I can go with the 3" im thing about going with the offset in/ and the dual out w/ vette tips (i think they will fit. anyone know for sure?)

2.5 all the way back will be fine
and the muffs are offset in/center out.

The stock catback is not 2 1/2" it's I believe 2 1/4" to the Y then I believe 2" to the muffs but a muffler shop can supply reducers, myself I think the stock Y pipe is a poor design ,if you stock system is in good condition just do the u-bend and slap on some muffs and your good but if the system is in need of replacement I would upgrade to 2 1/2" all the way back with a decent Y pipe ,as far as 3" I think it overkill untill you reach about 400hp .Chico.

i took the res out and put it in flow through muffler with 3 inch pipe all the way back to just a set of tips.. sounds great and there is no loud buzzing noise like some people get when they are not even on the gas.. only cost 200 with the install
