What's that saying, "A rose by any other name is still a rose?" If it's pink it's pink, no denying it. Trying to cover it up with a fancy name would probably bring more harassment for the effort. :p It needs a new paint job anyway, so it'll get fixed in the long run.

THere's a video somewhere of the painting process for that plaid car. I can't remember where it is though.

As much money as they put in the paint job, one has to wonder: Why?

That is a good question. Why some people stick so much into a paint job is beyond me. wink

rook instead of spending $$ on a paintjob you should just sell and buy a gtp, eh?

Well, GTPs are pretty rare around here. I have yet to see one used and I've only seen 3 on the road. Finding one would be a problem, finding one in a color I prefer would be even harder. Also, I know some about this car's history and the problems it has, something I would have to relearn and take a chance with on a new car, not to mention GTPs have probably been driven hard to begin with.

As of late, I've also been debating getting a cheap car to fix up for my HP wants and have been considering getting a mid-90s Tbird or XR-7 and modding it, making the GP my daily driver. The problems with GP trannies and them being automatic as well, have me more than just a little worried on modding my only transportation. Plus, with two cars I don't have to worry so much if one breaks and can mod the GP later on.

All I've got is time. smile
