Good found. I wish I could buy that but I'm saving it for my interior and exterior 2009 project this year. F-body brake will be in 2010 project plan later.

My stock brake with 16" wheel still safety. 18" wheel is my last list to deal with. So lot of time to wait later next year. wink

I killed one duck out of three the other night, no stopping power!
First killed animal driving, I felt soo bad.
I was on my way to a bar, looking for a parking spot.
It was midnight, St. Pats night actually, and I see three ducks waddling really fast.
I had no time to swerve or anything.
My buddy was following a ways back.
Once we parked, I said "you see me hit the brakes hard, cause I hit a duck"
He said "I seen the brakes, but then I ran a hat over I thought"
I said "no, you just finished that ducky off!"

That's true about cruise wink but if I'm on long road trip then I will speed it up little bit. I only cruise in my local area.

Sorry about accident to kill that duck. I kill two animals before. Cat and raccoon. They just came out from nowhere so I have no time to react.

Dude is awesome. Quick professional emails.
He posted pic on the forum.

http://www.grandprixforums.net/f51/performance-brake-kits-12399.html

I emailed him a few questions, and he kept emailing me back.
This is what I got in an email:

F-Body front brake kit (Red) 204.00
Add front semi metalic pads- 15.00
Add front slotted rotor's (silver zinc) 128.00
Add rear slotted rotor's (silver zinc) 112.00
Add shipping 10.00 for everything above.

Total: 469.00

If you have any further questions let me know.

I got the f-body kit, front rotors and pads.
Holding off on rears.
I asked him about stainless brake kit, he said going check around.
I want buy those too, about $110 for set ss lines.
I got slotted this time, since I went with slotted drilled last time. Drilled has less surface area, I want this boat to stop!!!
The hat on the rotors will be painted.
The calipers/brackets will be red!
$367 shipped

You're losing surface aread with slotted too, hence why I would go with a plain-jane OEM 12" impala rotor.

Actually with the slotted the loss of surface area is negligable. Why you ask? Because when you brake gases are formed from the rotor and pad. Repeated heavy breaking the gas builds up between the pad and rotor making the brakes less and less effective (brake fade) the slots give the gas a way to escape. Ensuring pad/rotor engagement every brake application.

Yep.
Installing drilled or slotted or both will not decrease your braking ability, it'll increase it.

That was true for old brake pads/rotors, I don't think it is so much any more. The newer technology used doesn't release nearly the gas like the old did.

There is no way drill/slot is going to improve your stopping distance. If anything it will hurt it. Assuming the slots are useful for releasing gases nowadays, you're still only going to see a benefit for repeat braking (going down a mountain would be one area where I could see a benefit to slots).

So it depends on your driving and what you want aesthetically. If you live on/near a mountain, autocross, or just want it for the looks, go drilled/slotted/both. Otherwise you'll get better results without.

But still a D/S 12" is going to outperform a smooth 11".

My point is you can both improve the looks AND improve the braking at the same time.

I received the calipers, brackets, parts, and pads today. Rotors weren't in box and I was a little nervous.
On grandprixforums thread ZZP bashed this guy.
Alex just bought a ewp from him, so I was like ok I'll try him out.
I have emails of the transaction and paypal, so it seems legit.
I emailed him right away find out about rotors, and he emailed quickly back said they are in another box shipped.
So hopefully they come tomorrow.
I got slotted rotors 12" with the hat painted black.
These things are 5lbs lighter per caliper than stock, and sweet!
I paid $4.00 to have them painted red, but I don't like the red. I am going coat over them with the red I've been using for the other items on the car.

Next purchase, SS brake lines, and eventually rear pads and slotted rotors.

My bad. I just saw last part of your message. I plan edit it out after reading them but you already post it. Why you don't like it? Too bright? At least they are cheap to paint.

I bought some parts off of a douchebag David Lex "lexinator02" on clubgp about a year ago? maybe 2 years? that sent out some stuff to me and "forgot" to send out the other part and said it was going to go out in the mail the next day in another box. Needless to say, I never got that box.

Just be careful man, I don't want to see you get ripped off, too.

Well I got emails to back it up.
I just didn't understand why they weren't with the calipers.
He emailed right back saying they are in another box.

Rotors finally came. The hat was suppose to be painted black, but wasn't. No big deal.
I repainted the calipers/brackets today. He prepainted them, but for $4.00 didn't do a good job.
Each rotor weighs 16lbs a piece, which is nearly equivalent to a single torque star rim, that's nuts. These are heavy. However, I am saving 5 lbs per caliper/bracket over stock caliper/brackets.
I will install as soon as I get the ss brake line kit.
