So the meet was awesome. Lots of really nice cars and 3 FULL big parking lots. Oh and I had the nicest GP there. I also was the only GP there. But the new FM 40s def. got some good attention. I dyno'd also. I ended up with 214hp/223tq. These numbers seem really low. Or is it just me? The guy who ran it went to 3000 rpm in 3rd and then floored it. He did this twice and then the third pull did 2500 rpm and floored it.
I'll post pictures and videos soon!

Isn't that wheel horsepower? You might be expecting numbers before all the loss, IMO.

hm, yeah, I dynoed 212 whp/239 tq, from what I heard the top swap with 3.8" pulley is like a 3.4" pulley on a GTP. So I guess that's pretty consistent?

I was hoping for more torque. But yea, I guess a 15whp gain is pretty good for less than 300 bucks. What I really want to do now is get something really cool on the exterior. I like the cowl induction hood on wbodystore.com. But engine stuff for now.

The guy at the machine shop I go to often said FWD cars like ours can lose up to 30% hp through the drivetrain. Maybe that has something to do with it? I dunno, I've just always heard to expect low numbers on the dyno.

Hey, just out of curiosity, does anyone have any idea about what the actual hp and tq is for a stock 02 GTP?
Unfortunately, the only thing I've done to my car so far is a 180* t-stat, but something tells me that isn't enough to affect power, so it's still stock to me. lol
Online it says 240hp/280tq, but I want to know about what it would say if I got it dyno tested.

I believe a stock GTP is 195 whp and a stock GT is 160ish whp.

hey I looked and it's not up anymore, but I'm checking to see if it can be put back up. I do know that he bought the car new, and the only thing that he has done to the car is put a K&N stock replacement filter in.

Nice vids of the dyno runs! We're the having any problems with torque steer wanting to move the front wheels around at all?

I'm going next year for sure, loving the aston martin, never seen that car in green before.
Let me know next year and I will clear my day for this event.

Sorry, what I meant to say was this: were they having any problems with torque steer?
Torque steer occurs on FWD vehicles, have you ever noticed when you floor it and the car downshifts, the wheel has a tendency to jerk one way or the other? This was a problem for me when I got the car dyno'ed, the wheels were almost wanting to jump off the rollers (not literally, but the dyno guy had to white-knuckle the steering wheel straight ahead in my case)

But I def notice the torque steer on the road.
