For all the trouble. I'll risk dust/runs/sags with a basecoat/clear paint job please and thankyou.

BBB would be my best friend. Fry that shop, then.

Maaco is where I got mine done, and other than them deciding to paint the tailpipes, I have no complaints. Looks new again.

BBB=Better Business Bureau.

If you know of a shop that is doing sub-par to unacceptable work, report to BBB. Enough complaints and the shop will either not get any business, or start getting looked at by lawyers and such.

BBB is not nearly as powerful as it once was, but it does still have some relevance.

Just so you guys know, the weather tomorrow doesn't look like I'm going to be able to get the pics taken. frown I'll get them done this weekend, weather permitting. Geez, you should see the fog...visibility is less than 1/8th of a mile in places.

That's nothing. Back where I grew up visibility was the hood of your car. People still drove like bats out of hell.

I've been there once or twice. I've had it do visibility was about 20 feet, and when you have to pull across a highway to get out of your apartments, and you can't see if any cars are coming...THAT is scary...

Well I'll give you my opinion ,afew years ago I owned a small paint shop in Canada and Maaco came to town so I went to see the Mngr. to get some prices ,they are low because of a lot of cut corners ,cheap paint and less than qualified workers ,there standard repaint is the car washed then run over with a scotch brite pad then 2 coats of single base paint ,now if your putting your car up for sale this may be a god option but beware within 2 years you ill be looking to repaint,when I repaint the car is wet sanded then primed sealed then 3 coats of base then wet sanded again then 3 coats of clear ,when getting a repaint expect to pay at least $2000 for a quality job.Chico(pops)

Glad you think so, Rick, but I don't like them. lol

Chico, all I was really looking for was something to last a couple years. I'm not in a place financially right now where I could afford a $2000 paint job, but in few months I'll have my car paid off, and before that I'll have my credit card paid off, so by the time I start having problems with this paint job, I'll be able to afford a better one. IF I choose to get a better one. A couple years from now, I may be looking to sell it. We'll see. I just got tired of seeing the peeling paint...
