I second drummerboy on this. I've got 120k on the clock and I'm just starting to see some tranny problems.

Right now, the front end feels kinda spongey under light acceleration, kinda like something connected to the steering is a lil loose. Slight wiggle in the steering wheel too.

Wow, I'm surprised that this poll is dead even. Especially since almost everyone posting says s/c. lol

lol yea chris it is all your fault for gettin me onto this idea...but I'm looking to replace the old with the new from plugs and wires, to cams and trannies. I'll do w.e I can to be sure that this engine is ready to take the turbo. I'm not just gonna bolt up a turbo and say ok look at me I have a turbo grand prix. Like I said this is going to be a long process but I'm ready for it. But Thank You for the warning drummmerboy and lonezergling, it is much appreciated.

All of that stuff is expensive, so like I said, hope you have alot of money. Just don't try and make horsepower on a dime because it'll always come back to screw you over

yea I know...like i said, i'm not gonna bolt it up and say hey i got this turbo with all this power because then my engine could blow up or something. It'll probably be a year or so before I'm ready to hook up a turbo anyway, so in the meantime I will prep it

That's what I'm planning for the future, y'know, the whole "piles of cash" future?

That's why top-swap > SS M90 if you have the $$$ to take it further.

That, and you can use any intercooler available, instead of just the wimpy shortstack IC. Since everything is stock parts, you buy stuff just like if you had an L67 from the factory. I couldn't agree more Zerg cheers

i just saw this thread.

Turbo.

the fastest M90 car is a 10 something.
Turbo is a 9.01.

if you have the cash, the turbo is the best mod for these cars

If you can afford a decent turbo kit, you can also afford a whipple. The whipple would be loads more fun and efficent.

Whipple's with stock heads and cam run like high 11's/low 12's IIRC. Pretty amazing results for one mod.
