Personally I dont like the bose system that much, im sure you could do a custom install on one that doesent have it, but I would go with something like Blaupunkt or Alpine

If you're replacing a stereo system, I would go with something else. Alpine, Fosgate, pioneer. whatever. The Bose system is nice, but it has no Bass, or not enough for me at least. My friend's Camaro SS and my mom's Grand Am have Monsoon systems. I like those a lot more.

I happen to like the Bose system in every aspect EXCEPT the bass. Subs were a must, but even now, I'm thinking about upgrading the rear speakers for more mid range and higher-end bass.

There has to be a way to tune the Bose. If not, then they are very inconsistent. My Wife's TL has Factory Bose, and even has a factory sub. But it's bass is pathetic. I get more bass in my GTP's non-bose-Premium Sound System. My G35 Coupe also has factory bose, but it doesn't have a dedicated sub. But it's bass is so deep and loud, I can actually shake the whole house while in the garage laugh .

If you transplant a bose into your car, maybe you can get the bose amp from another car, to get better bass confused
