PowrTuner has ceased production (can you still buy one?) but support for our cars is better than HPT and there is a large community still around for us. I also think there is supposed to be one more software update to unlock some more tables, but there has been no definite yes or no. Support for DHP has always come from their forum anyway, which is still running.

HPT is more expensive per vehicle, but allows you to work on a wider range of vehicle types. It's also vin limited, so no playing on your friends cars or swapping computers in your car (unless someone rewrites the vin in it).

Im sure you can get a used powrtuner for cheaper than the HPT. But since charles took off there really isnt tech support anymore.
