Yes people tell me they like the GP better than the Mustangs. The Gps have more room inside, handle better in snow, get better gas mileage, and they are more reliable. Grand Prix Rock!!!!

If you were looking for great MPG, room inside, snow traction, and dependability why did you not buy a 4 cylinder Saturn VUE, Honda Accord or Nissan Maxima? Let me guess, because you like the GP. I did not buy my mustang convertible to drive in the snow, get good mileage or take the family cross country. I bought it to drop the top and cruise around. That being said, I have driven it in the snow and lots of it. Never got stuck, just add 3 sand bags in the trunk and good all season tires. It got 24 mpg on the highway with A\C at 70MPH, and I didn't work on it more than the W-body cars I own. That is of course things that need to be done. Tinkering and modifying don't count.
Everyone has their own likes, dislikes and opinions. I mean come on, that is how the ugly Mopars survived the 60s and 70s, Ugos sold in the USA, Jeep sells that nasty green color and most of us have mates. If everyone liked the same thing, this would be a VERY boring world.

Man, none of you Mopar guys can spell. LOL. I can say these things because my best friend drives only Mopars. His 67 Satelite (over 350K on car) 383 4 spd does 110 miles round trip to work. He finally bought his wife a PT Cruiser Turbo to replace the 77 LeBaron she was driving. His 10 acre property and 50x100 shop are every Mopar man's dream. And no I won't give you his name or location sorry. And yes, I do say these things to his face, and he agrees, but still loves his slopars.

5.slows...I like that. lol

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I always have been a Mustang fan, and always will be. I would love to have an old school fastback.

However, I'm glad I got my GTP, and I wouldn't trade it in for anything. Well..short of a Saleen Mustang maybe. lol

I'd have no issues driving a '99+ Stang with the V8.

If someone gave me the choice of keeping my car or getting a STOCK V8, I'd keep my car. It would have to be a BIG step up in performance for me to get rid of my GTP... blush

*Edit* On the other hand, the Stang IS RWD and has a handbrake... lol

It's comparing apples to oranges. Grand Prix's are FWD family cars (what they're marketed as) and Mustang's are RWD sports cars. You guys are entitled to your opinion as to which you like better but head to head you can't say GP's are better because they have more room and better gas mileage, that's what they were engineered to be able to do. Sorry just had to put that out there.

By the way I am both a Mustang AND Grand Prix fan.
