I need a source for parts.

Part #1: The black plastic lug nut caps. I tried several auto parts stores, and apparently GM hasn't released these to the aftermarket to make - at least that's what I've been told. GM want's $2-3 EACH for them. Now I have about 3 missing. I lose them more frequently than I did with the GA.

#2. I checked around and you can't get the '02 trunk lift struts - the autoparts don't have them PERIOD. Just for the hood. Were these the same weight lift capacity (for standard spoiler cars) as the 2001, which the auto stores DO carry (but which still have to special order? I had to break down and buy OEM for $70 a pair. (yes, I know rip off!)

What's the scoop? GM getting greedy in the parts department now? It never was this difficult before to get parts.

This is just the added straw to drive this son of a 30 year GM retiree to a non GM vehicle for his next car.

Not sure how to help you, but I just sold my black lug caps a few months ago. I practically gave them away.

That's what I did Tbat.

The chrome lugs I got from Les Schwabb don't match my normal torque stars too well, but you don't really notice. And, in my opinion chrome lugs on normal torque stars is better than black lug covers on normal torque stars.

At Sears, when you order a wheel lock kit (McGard, not the cheap shit) you get all new chrome lugs along with the locks for $50. Good investment if you ask me, as my stock TQ stars were stolen before.

Looks like they are $28.08 + shipping.

Hope this helps smile

Torque stars from dealer are over 700 each. So if one was to acquire an extra set for real cheap you could get a pretty penny for em.

probably not as likely to be stolen these days since the 17 inch dubs are now the rims that are in vogue. Hell, if someone really wants my eight year old rims they can have them!

What's that? Wanting to sell your TQ Stars? If they're in good shape I might make you an offer in a month or so. laugh
