hey everyone, has anyone else experienced these problems? my stereo display just went out one day, one time i got it to come back on by tapping the display of the radio, worked for a week and then no more. also the h.u.d. will fade in and out. anyone got any fixes im getting ready to sell the car and i would like it to be perfect before i sell it. thanks

I know other members have had the same issues that you are experiencing. Use the search link and you will definitely come across the same problems with some answers. As for the HUD, I believe that there's a connection that needs to be re - soldered.

Two different issues.....

If you radio still works, your display is shot. It would be cheaper to find another head unit than repair the display.

The HUD has a cold solder joint on the light sensor. I've repaired a couple successfully with the guidance of a thread at ClubGP. I'll see about getting some info up.

if the radio still works but you can't see it the display or it is not lighting up, then it is just a bulb that you can replace, but when i did mine, it was more than the bulb. i ended up running a hot and ground wire from the bulb to the back of the radio to an acc wire to get it to still light up. works, but just looks messed up if you pull the radio out.

with the hud, it is the sensor on it that prolly needs to be resolder to give it a better connection. mine does that sometime too to where you can't hardly see it when it is really bright outside, but i am not going to worry about it! do a search on this, maybe i have a link somewhere, hercman prolly does on his page.
