Hi guys,
Have any of you ever change the alternator bearings? How hard is it do?

Thanks,

Luis

lol. Actually the noise is just starting slightly at cold start ups. I called a place that sells electrical parts and he told me he had the bearings for $15. I just wanted to know if it's hard to open up the alternator and replace them.

Surprisingly we stock a few at work. Not for anything this new though, they're considered non-serviceable. Same for starters and solenoids.

Both. Some for the old GM one wires, others for slightly newer models.
