Face it, any good brand name speaker is better than the factory stuff. I bought what Crutchfield had on sale and am very hapy with my Pioneers out back and Infinitys in the doors. Right now they have some Blaupunkt 5 1/4 on sale for $40 and some Pioneer 6x9 for $60. I installed bass blockers in the front speakers to keep them clean. For the best sound though, put better speakers up front near your ears.

I never understand why you all need aftermarket radio? What is wrong with factory radio? Too cheap or something? Remember, I'm deaf. I never use this so I have no idea.

Well, let my try to compare to a couple other factors that you can relate to...... Factory Radio=Vinyl..... Aftermarket Radio=Leather Factory Radio=Hamburger.... Aftermarket=Steak Factory Radio=Pontiac... Aftermarket=Ferarri Sound definately has it's qualities, just as taste, touch and sight. Edit: I'd like to elaborate..... Sound has different frequencies, as some people who aren't totally def know..... For those people forunate enough to have hearing, most frequencies can be heard, and a low quality stereo system doesn't usually offer up all the frequencies to be heard..... An aftermarket system will bring out more frequencies allowing for a more pleasurable listening experience.

Well put crimpton. I have aftermarket everything when it comes to my stereo and I must say the sound is wonderful and I plan on never going back to stock. The reason for this is my music comes to life when I play it, i hear everything, and that is why i choose to purchase the aftermarket stereo.

No wonder. Thank for explain. I know I don't listen music. If I'm hearing and I probably would change aftermarket radio instead stock radio. Some of deaf people want to buy deaf car that don't have radio. We must pay for that when we never use it. It is kind rip off. I kind agree with them. I brought my car in 26K mileage. Now, it is over 100K mileage and this radio never touch lol. I bet it is very brand new for radio and speakers.

To replace the plain orange and simplistic digial display with a display that has short themes like mermaids and dolphins. As far as sound quality, there is some improvement but I'm keeping my stock one as I don't want to pay for the steering wheel radio control conversion kit. Also the stock feels a bit more solid than newer radios which don't look like they will last for 10 or so years. I also like my controls with big ol buttons and not the tiny prickling buttons they use. Looks cool though.
