Yep .. there's alot of GTP specific 1/4 mile times, and I know those pretty well, but what's a rough guesstimate of a GT's time? Stock?
I'm guessing very light modding wouldn't do much; maybe if you're lucky, a tenth or so.

You can into the 14's with basic bolt ons eg: PEM's ,3" dp ,1-9 rockers ,PCM, cai,and P&P throttle body ,add nos and you will be in the low 14's ,how fast do you want to go?

Well, not too fast. I need this car for when I go off to college, but I have a hunch it will just be sitting there in the parking lot for much of the time. That breaks my heart, but if that's what happens, that's what happens. I asked what times you'd expect because .. I finally got to run a 1/4 mile last night! There's a little track about forty minutes out of Waco at a tiny town called Little River. We got there a bit late, just when everyone else had started showing up. My friend Jonathan and his Firebird had already had a few runs. We had meant to run together, but somewhere along the line the order got messed up and he ended up running just before me against a 5.0L Mustang. Meanwhile, I had been sitting in line next to some unidentifiable car that insisted on revving at me. .. Yeah. I, being stupid, idled nearly the entire time, so my engine was running above 210 before we noticed, and attempts at lifting the hood to cool it ... didn't work so well. I'll get there earlier next time so I don't have to wait. Short story long, I beat the guy that was revving next to me by more than a second, but being the noob I was, I let my foot off the accelerator 'cause I had NO idea where I was supposed to stop. Track wasn't very well lit up near the end. 16.55 @ 79.62 Jonathan's Firebird was only .002 seconds faster than me .. and I had let my foot off the accelerator. Yes! It was fun; we had talked to a guy with a mean sounding late model Mustang. Y'know, the ones before the 05s. He'd never ran it before, and as we were leaving, he was pulling up, so I braked for a second to stop and hear his time. 13.2! Nice. BLEH. I'm going again this Friday, apparently it's an every-Friday thing. And next time I'll get pictures.

I remember that track being so wavy you could ride a sufboard right down the middle of either lane, and as soon as you cross the finish line... well, you better be on your brakes hard or you're going through the fence and onto the highway (which a buddy of mine did, good thing there was no traffic at the time). How much was it to run out there? I might be interested in going out there and making a run or two.

You've got to be kidding! My dad went out there when he was younger too! It was I think sixteen for a car, and each additional person was eight. But there's no per-run fee, so that's the only thing you have to pay! It happens every Friday, and this Friday I was the only Grand Prix there. They must have worked on the track a bit; my dad said pretty much the same thing you did. Once you're over the finish line, it starts curving one way, but it's no big deal. Maybe they put it there for slowdown purposes? I double posted. Look down!

The best I could do .. I was "27". My number was actually 29, but .. apparently they can't count. It's gotten hot all of a sudden around here .. I didn't even idle that long before the engine was running over 210. I should probably wait until fall. That run was against a modified WRX, by the way. It's fair to say I got owned.
