If it is a PCM, stick with the aftermarket PCM. You will notice a big loss with a stock PCM.

With a stock PCM your car will shift like a little girl. You may not even feel it shift from one gear to the next.
What size pulley do you have now?
Put the stock PCM and pulley on it and you'll be amazed at how much power you just lost.

I've had the car for about 6 weeks. 100k miles. the car came with a 3.4" pulley, thrasher intake, intense pcm, 180 deg thermostat. I noticed it has a shifter button for the "performance shifting" option. After about a month, the 2-3 shift started to shudder. I turned off the shift mode and it seemed to settle down for about a week. than it came back. I changed the fluid/filter a week ago and yesterday i sucked out another gallon thru the fill tube and put in some transtune and more fresh fluid. it seems to be shifting better. I wonder how the shift mode and aftermarket pcm work together as far as shift firmness. I wanted to try the stock pcm to see what effect it has if any.

Wow,

Not to blame EVERY transmission problem on this but it may be the solenoid in the tranny going bad. If under warranty, I advise fixing it.

If not, well, I'm not sure how much it is but it is going to be expensive.

I say just ride it out. No need to pay for the stock items. It won't help.

If what I suspect is wrong The solenoid like tasty suggested the stock pcm and pulley will do nothing for you. After market PCMs raise the line pressure and if your tranny is on the way out it speeds up the process.
