When I check k&n website. I enter as my car model for 3100 engine. All I get that stock air filter.

http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=33-2141-1

I would like to get this one.
http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=57-3045

Will 3.8 engine K&N air filter work on my 3.1 engine? Because they are both same stock intake?

I would like get this one because it has pcm fit somewhere when I saw installation step by step.

Ebay have this list that my SE is there or ebay got it wrong?

If intake setup is the same, then it'll work.
But near $290 for an intake, I'd pass!

No, I'm not going buy that high price on ebay. I went auto store and saw some cheap price. I just take example as they list on my SE model there to make sure this ebay is right or wrong. KN website didn't mentioned anything on my 3100 engine. I kind like who I should believe. Ebay or KN.

20gtp02: Thank for picture.

hmmm I wonder why they never say about 3.1 engine if we all have same intake on 3.1 and 3.8 engine? I don't understand why. Maybe too much air for 3.1 engine to blow up? wink

Not a huge demand for intakes on that size engine, I assume.

The 3.1 has a different setup the maff is seperate wereas on the 3.8 the maff is in the TB ,so for you to use the K&N setup you would have to cut the intake tube to length .

Check out some of the grand am sites and see what they use for an intake,or build your own not that difficult!

The Grand Am engine bay may be a little more cramped than ours with the 3100 in it so that may be why he said don't use those.

It's not that hard to make one, there's a writeup in the FAQ. If you can use hose clamps then you can make yourself an intake.
