Tranny takes long time to shift from 2nd to 3rd?

My friends 98 GTP has 112K. No problems untill now. The tranny is taking longer than normal to shift from 2nd to 3rd. Anyone....?

Try changing your transmission fluid. If the transmission isn't shifting, it's because a little valve isn't moving. It may not be moving because it's stuck by decomposed fluid. New fluid may clean it up. It's worth a try.
