Sounds like typical dealership BS to me; rubber boots don't click. [Roll Eyes] Could be CV joints, inner tie rods, steering rack, or maybe an intermediate steering shaft problem.
I know you would rather fix it under warranty, but I would get it checked out by a repair shop that won't give you BS stories... [Wink]
i was thinking "intermediate shaft" too but I couldn't remember the name of that part, lol. you could definitely feel the "click" if that was bad. but it would only be one time per turn, more so when turning the steering wheel from left to right, or right to left.
inner tie rod would also be a one click per turn, and again more so when changing from left to right.
if it is a constant clicking, but only while turning, then CV joint is bad.
I would also say to have a 2nd shop to check it over.
I would hate to see a shop mis diagnose a CV clicking as a rubber boot...
