You'll need to run 8 groove pulleys all the way around for the S/C. If you use a 6 rib pulley it will want to wander around your pulley shredding the belt in the process.

Herc, I hope that's not true.

I put on an 8 groove zzp MPS about a year ago. My belt has stayed on properly thusfar.

Yelsew, if you decide to try it, put the belt on the 6 grooves closest to the snout.

You can run a 6 groove belt on an 8 groove pulley.

I've seen many 8 groove pulleys on a super charger.... Never seen an 8 groove belt on the same..... You'll be fine as long as you put the belt in the right grooves.

I'd say you'll only notice a difference if you run a 3.0 pulley or smaller, since they're the most prone to slippage.

ZZP's forthcoming (not released yet) belt wrap system will help much better than any 8 rib pulley would. I would think the 8-rib S/C pulley with the rest being 6-rib will be okay, but it's kinda like changing only 3 spark plugs with a different brand. It will work, but why do it?
