My poly mounts are coming today and I got the driver side mount cut up and out (used reciprocating saw and took 30 seconds). Now im wondering if I can undo both dog bones or if I shouldnt. Is there a way I can do this without damaging anything potentially? I want to get both of them cut but the instructions say to only undo one at a time. Would it hurt to do both right now so I can just insert them once I get it in?

park it on a flat surface.

As long as its on a flat surface then the motor won't move forward or back.

You won't hurt anything.

Even it rocks back/forward a bit, as long as it's parked fairly level then you can either rock it forward or back to get the bolts back in.

Well im on flat surface in a garage and car is going nowhere until mounts are in. I suppose I'll go ahead and cut the other one out too.

make sure you don't break off the flux capacitor when the motor rocks. Those are expensive.

I cant get the new polys in for the life of me. I've tried rubber mallet, hammer, WD40(tons of it) and tried many other things and I cannot get the poly mounts in, not even one. I've tried manning up and using my hands to try and force it in there but it will not budge. Do you guys have any advice?

WD-40 the snot out of the mount and insert

Then get out the rubber mallet and give em some good swats.

They'll go in eventually.

Put the poly mount in the freezer and the metal bracket in the oven? That works for pinion bearings, and many other bearings as well...

unbolt the mounts and put it on your workbench so you can use a wooden block and your mallet...plenty o WD40 and that bad boy will go home.

ok I feel really stupid, i figured out my issue hours ago but had to go to relatives for christmas. The ZZP poly mounts now come with each mount being able to be split into 2. This is convient because you put one on one side and one on the other, at first I was trying to get the hole mount threw just the small opening. They went in with a little bit of hand pushing and were really easy to get in. Now when my car is at a stop it vibrates a bit but isn't to bad and the whole car seems a bit louder.

Overall good mod for the money.

I read the directions, it said to slide the mount threw...Funny huh, considering the mount splits into 2. Common sense shoulda told me that I could split into 2 and put on both sides, I realised this after i had spent a good hour trying to hammer in the mount. You have no idea how dumb I felt when realizing this.

If theres some sort of retard of the day award I would def win it on this one. Big epic fail on my part.
