Seriously though, If its a lightning, those are supposed to run a stock 1/4 of 14.3 up to yr 1999, if your stock you run around a 15 flat, you do the math homes, looks like you need some mods before you dis on this guy, if its not a lightning, I would say go for it, either way though dont be a sore winner/loser and have fun

286 whp may take you but it still will weigh a bit more I think so give it a shot. Besides, if he doesn't know what he is doing (and if you know how your car runs) you can smoke just about
anyone.

Plus, he probelly has no weight in the back so when you both gun it, he is just gunna spin his tires

allright, let me get something straight here. i am the kid with the 1996 f-150 with a 302 h.o and 286 rwhp. it has a 3.55 detroit locker and will eat any gtp. this race never existed. i raced ONE gtp and we ran SIDE BY SIDE until about 90 and then i let off. i would like to race him someday. It's funny - I always preferred this forum over ClubGP and AF and other forums out there because here we didn't have to deal with flame-wars and BS posts full of "nu-uh you didn't" "yeah I did" crap. So please, guys, whether or not the race happened this is not the way to handle it. If you have beef, do it through PMs so you don't clog up the forums. And I'm pretty sure the moderators won't tolerate these posts for much longer. Just my $.02

We really don't get into the "yes I did", "no you didn't" stuff here. We try to keep things on an adult level (for the most part ). If you say you did it, we generally look for proof. If you ran this fast in the qtr, show your slip. If you dyno'd this much HP and trq, show your dyno sheet.
You're both more than welcome to stay and engage in conversations, but please leave the high school stuff for other forums.

hey guys, i'm really sorry about my posts yesterday (tail between legs) but i just get sooo pi$$ed off when i read what a kid i go to school with posted about that he beat my truck when are cars have never met face to face. i'm sure if we raced, it would probably be a neck and neck race, so I will leave here forever and I hope you'll forvive me and my LYING friend for whom you have to deal with. prolly alot of the stuff he has posted is bull $#!t, keep that in mind when you read 2FAST4u's posts. on a final note, I do realize how fast some modded up GTP's are and i will respect that, but his GTP is completely stock (well... maybe some rice rocket mods like stickers and lights)but reguardless, why would you lie about a race and then show me the website where you posted it??

i was in law enforcement but thats not how i got them. i just know where to go and who to talk to. i only use them for shows and when i'm not driving. you can be charged and have your vehicle taken if you use them on the road. just have to know when and where.

Thats cool, I wanna find one of those light bars that the pace cars had for mine, those things look badass.

BTW, you need to work on your typing skills because the way you communicated with us looks like a 12 year olds' typing. Also, what kind of F150 is it? Extended cab? 4wd? Your truck (based on search at Autotrader) has a stock curb weight of 4196 and I'm betting the V8 is heavier. I also calculated an estimate of your HP(after adding 18% drivetrain loss) and weight and made an estimate of about 14.2 in the 1/4. This would beat a stock GTP like his, but there are other things (if you truly know what your doing and aren't just a punk like your writing suggests)that could effect your speed. Like bigger rims, bigger breaks, bad launch, knock, fouled plugs, etc. All in all, we can't tell for sure if you would will.

Oh, and 2Fast4U already defended you about your dyno and... wait a sec. You insulted me in one of your replies. For that I think you would lose untill you go to Milan with 2Fast4U and he reports your time and the last day is the 13th so I suggest you hurry.

yeah, I ment the specific light bar that came on the pace cars

whelen.com is an official sponsor of the nascar pacecars, i'm sure they have the same light bar, you may want to contact them specificly regarding the light bar you want. they also have the "fastrax" strobe lights that adorned the rear windsheild on the grand prix pace cars. i balieve you have to ask for a custom applcation though. (its the same strobes that are used on the current monte carlo pace cars)

The one that is built into the spoiler on the car in this picture is the kind I would be looking for, do you think they would have these and the spoiler in a package?

yes. you have to ask for it specificly though. and who knows what it will cost. try to get ahold of someone in sponsorship sale, i'm sure one of them would be able to send you in the right dirrection.

that specific light assembly is the fastrax system, so ask for it by name. that should let them know what your talking about.

BTW, if i remember correctly, the lights mount under your factory parkbench spoiler. if you dont have one, check the local wrecking yards for a car that has one.
