Hey bad news guys,

I was driving down a street here in Dallas, minding my own buisness when I'm coming up to this intersection. I look at the light before I enter it obvioiusly and it was green before I looked down and proceeded through the intersection. Well right as I was getting into the intersection I notice this '84 BMW 3 series coming from my right hand side of the intersection turning left. I almost had no time to react to it, just barely enough to get the words "oh ****" out of my mouth, and just enough to swerve a little so I didn't t-bone him. He ended up broadsiding me pretty bad as you can see in the pic below. Anyways long story short, he admitted fault when we got out of the cars and were talking, but when the cops showed up, he completely changed his story. So he it turns out he had a witness that turned out to say I had a yellow light as I was getting into the intersection meaning he had a green light. God only knows why his witness said that. But I'm glad no one got hurt, except for two cars. His car was really messed up. Here is a pic

Ha any comments?

That's too bad kev.

Don't let the wheels go with the car if it get's totaled.
I'll give you $75 plus my Bullitts in trade. I'll even drive up there and do all the work on swapping them out.

LMK

From what it looks like, it might not be totaled. Just pray there's no frame damage. As for the yellow light deal, it still doesn't matter. But what I dont understand is why they went even though your light was still red? Were they trying to turn down the road you were on? Could you draw a pic of the scene for dissection?

Make sure YOU call insurance so that you can put the claim in first. Make sure you ask the insurance to look if there are any cameras around that could have possibly taped the incident.

Good luck figuring out what happens from here. Whether through repair or replacement, I'm sure you will be driving one again shortly.

Long live the GTP!!

Hey thanks for the responses. And no I will never let go of my black beast, plus its not totalled. (Sorry Bobby, oh and yes the front wheel was damaged a little, which I think you can see in the pic bellow.) My car is worth about 10 grand retail down here in D-town and there is prob 4 or 5k worth of damage.

OK now let me explain the following picture. I was headed eastbound on this road as you can see the GTP. My light was green, he was trying to get through the intersection to turn left even though his light was red. So it was clearly his fault, and the insurance companies are still fighting it out I think. We will see how it goes. Heres the pic:

CRAP=His '84 BMW

Here are some other pics of my car:

The inspector came out and drew off which portions of the car need to be replaced, that isn't pinstriping just FYI.

eBay. Search "AFS Wheels" and look for the 05 and up ones. I got mine for 300 bucks shipped ( laugh ), and they are very nice.
