Wasn't there something about the photocell further into the thread? I believe ifitwasnt4u posted a link.

Or just wait for the car to disable them itself. Mine haven't worked for quite some time... everything appears OK. I think the DRL diode has a loose connection or something.

The DRL fuse trick only works on 97-00, maybe 01 too. The 02-03's ('01?) do some funky stuff when you pull that fuse.

Hey, I know this is kind of a dead topic, but I was searching for a way to disable my auto-lights, and I was wondering something. If I pull the DRL fuse, does that just keep them off during the day, or will I have to manually turn them on at night, as well? I want to make it so they don't come on on their own at all. I like the thought of having one of my friends behind me in their slow-*** inline 4, and then me flipping my lights off and disappearing. lmao

It won't work for you .. Pulling the fuse makes the car do some funky stuff, most noteably the annoying constant electric ticking noise in the dash after you pull it.
My car does it, my friends car does it, both are 2002s. My 97 didn't do it, but it's very different .. Very.

Ah, I missed the post, sorry.
Is there any (fairly simple) way to disable them in a 2002?

I got rid of both the Auto-ons, and the DRL's by pulling the fuse. Just another reason 99's are the best years.
