Has anyone ordered from this website? Their prices are really good but the shipping charges they tack on (at least initially) are insane. I was wondering if those are just "estimates" and then after you put in your address etc they become more realistic and accurate or is it just a straight shipping/handling charge no matter where you live.

I was going to get the GMPP larger front brake kit because the price is quite good but the shipping says $100!!!

anyone have experience with them
thanks
Jeff

Well shipping might be high...but go to the dealer and see if u like those prices any better...if u wanted lower shipping prices, they could always reduce shipping and add the balance to the price of the item...stores will get ya any way that they can. Yes, i have ordered from them and I would do it again in a second because I HATE dealerships...The kit might be expensive because of the weight...who knows...

Like Adam said...their shipping prices are high, but in the end, you'll pay more at the dealership. I've ordered from them before and never had a problem.

Although, if you have a local club that has arranged a deal with a local dealership's parts department... The WDCCGP club has a deal with King Pontiac (in Maryland). They give prices just barely over their cost. I've personally used them on numerous occasions and have been very pleased. They'll even ship things to members.

I know they are still cheaper than dealers, its just that their website was showing $100 shipping on the 12" brake kit. Today I checked and its $51.

Marc, where in MD is King Pontiac? Im Up in Bel Air and how do I join the DC group.. smile

Hi Jeff,

To join WDCCGP simply click on the link below. You'll find a series of links on the left side of the screen. Click on "Join Us" and follow the directions.

King Pontiac is located in Gaithersburg. Actually, if you go to the WDCCGP website and click on the "Sponsors" link, you'll find King Pontiac on the list.

We've had a couple mod meets in the past few months and will probably have more. After you get on the mailing list, you'll be able to follow the plans of any up coming meets.

Here's the link: http://wdccgp.clubgp.com/

Good luck,
Marc

I suppose I should have mentioned this before... when you call King Pontiac's Parts Dept., ask for Jim McKay. Tell him you're with WDCCGP and he'll hook you up. There's another guy in the Parts Dept., but I forget his name. I usually just deal with Jim.
