Ok my 2000 GTP came with the gold package which I changed quickly after it became mine. It has Gold tinted torque star wheels on it. (in much the same way the 99 30th Aniversary Trans-Am's blue wheels were tinted). I was wondering if these wheels are rare? The body shop the replaced one (after a curb jumped in front of me) said they were only made in my year. Anyone know about these.

Your talkin gold tinted wheels like the ones on your sig pic right? If so those are rare and I'd hate to have to replace one. The painted Torque Stars are over $600 bucks each let alone the Hi-Po. I have yet to see gold tinted torqe stars. If you still have em could you get a good pic for me please?

I guess they are rare. I haven't seen any GP's with gold torque star wheels. I've only seen the crosslace wheels in gold.

My friend has or used to have (not much of a friend havent talked to her for about a year) a GP gt with the gold torque stars. gold package. i thought they looked cool........But i love teh torque stars polished the most. My 99 gt had painted torquestars.

I'd love to get a set of Hi po torque stars. There's a silver GTP down the street from me with the HiPo Torques I keep thinkin bout makin a raid in the middle of the night and swapping wheels But that would be wrong.

never seen or knew about gold torque star wheels. like to see a pic of those. i just wish ours would have came with the polished wheels.

I didn't know about them until a member picked up a 2000 gold edition.
For those that don't know...They are similar to Hi-Po's, but they have a slight tint to them....barely noticable, unless you know your GP's.

They look nice, but only on a black car. I've seen factory rims in that coloring on a couple of GMC Envoys before and a Denali.

well you're wrong on they made them only in 2000, i have a 99 grand prix, i also have the gold rims, but mine also comes with gold pin strip, which looks damn nice:), there is also another grand prix with gold wheels and pin stripping, i dont know what year, and theres one with just gold wheels no pin strips

Those are gold...it's hardly noticable but they look cool...almost a pearl affect on them.....btw...missing a lugnet cap and rotor is looking grooved...lol

Also...I noticed you have the steel chrome vavle steam cap... just a warning for all, don't buy those cheap alum. colored caps at the auto parts store...after haveing them a year I could not get them off. had to go down and have the whole stem pulled out and replaced...what a pain
