These are a very modable car and you can go to whatever level you want from a very streetable mid 13sec car to an insane 9 sec drag car.Chico(pops)

9 Sec??? Ok, stop teasing!

Oh the ideas running through my head.....

Actually.....
Computers. Haven't exactly done any research on chipping the car yet. But if I would put a performance computer in it. Does it mess with the SC at all? Do I have to reprogram the fuel/Oxygen mixture? Or is it as simple as installing the computer and turning the key? Basically I would just like to bypass the fuel shut off. I hate having limits. Even if I don't ever use it wink

Thanks again all! Nice group here!

You're welcome! I thought you might find those helpful, even though you have no intention of going fast once in awhile...oh no, not at all...

Well I believe ZZP's twin turbo is running 9.01@148mph and that is the current record though it's strictly a drag car,but with a few simple mods the GTP can be fairly quick ,PCM upgrade ,CAI,headers and 1.9 rockers and drop to a 3.4 pully and you should be a solid mid 13 sec car,I'm sure with your affliction for modding it wo'nt take you long to make some changes.Chico(pops)

Digital Horsepower (also known as DHP) sells a great performance PCM for these cars. They are priced at $100 from vendors like PFYC.com and wbodystore.com. You'll like it alot if you get one. They are also super easy to swap out. Disconnect battery, remove air box lid, unbolt two wiring harnesses from the current PCM, and then reverse procedure to instal the new PCM
