I took my belt off, and drove around, WOT on the highway, Probably one of the slowest things I have ever been in!

GTP w/o S/C belt is worse than a GT... lower compression.

Yep.
Hence the comparison.
A GTP with no belt seemed more fair than a GT.

lol...ne way I saw a GA at a stoplight I was walking by that the driver did something to the exhaust. It sounded real choppy, loud and clunky. But as far as GPvsGA? I honestly couldn't say because I've never driven a GA

I don't think I've ever ridden in nor driven a Grand Am. They look kinda small inside, though.

I've only ridden in one, and it was a '89 Grand Am w/ 2.0 Turbo that my sister bought for $300 and owned for a short amount of time. It had no problem spinning tires until it threw a rod through the block one day on the interstate... probably due to some idiotic mechanics we had working on it (one event followed the other). My only regret is not being into cars at the time, I'd love to have it.

Don't GA GT's have a 3800 v6 like GP GT's?

I remembered it wrong. The GTP jumped a little quicker, but the G5 matched it perfectly until 70 or so, at which point it started to pull. Here
