How much did that set ya back? I spent about $500 on my cam setup and I'm yet to order my 3.4" MPS.

I just did a bid on ZZP last night, without core refund of $200, I am looking at $829 and change. With that, $629 and change! I am needing some track times first, and that last little nudge of my crazy brain to press "Click".

I would say ZZP would have the best advice on that one.

Hey, could be worse.
Could have dropped $4k on a turbo kit and then get a speeding ticket, losing 8 points a week before you get it.

I'd say you be looking real fast! When I come down to Tampa, we need to run. I am working on getting 1.9s, 90#s, ported blower, and installing the rear PEM I bought from D. Speaking of grad money, I got like $3600 in December 06' for my college graduation. I just finished using all that up!

Ordonez, based on your current times I would guess that you'll run in the 13.30's/13.40's. You're gonna have a huge traction problem so work on your launches! Originally posted by theone2043: whats the best rocker to go with in combination with the zzm90 top swap xp cam and intercooler? Some people run XP cam and intake 1.7 rockers to let in a little more air on the intake stroke. But since you seem to have unlimited money... get the XPZ cam and ZZP Stage 3 heads. You'll get much better gains, and might as well do it all together right?

Ordozone I'm guessing that should put your times around 13.2-13.3 at around 103mph .Chico.

thats what i was hoping for. If i can run a low 13 on the stock cam, then i will be pleased.
Then it might be time for an I/C

Just kidding. I know you're gonna enjoy that setup alot. i know, i know. and im sure i will someday. but i think with an I/C, and a mid-12 second car. It will be a very dependable DD for college and such. But i kinda want an XP...

I would like to soon... I don't have much money to play with though, hopefully soon I'll get alot of grad money. My Powerlog/Rear PEM aren't gonna be cutting it for much longer anyways, with all the extra air I'll be pushing out.

Ordezone I'm going to suggest a different route to you then cam for about the same money, since you already have valve springs installed try the 1.95 rr and a SS intercooler I believe this combo on stock (unported heads) will get you in the 12's with a 3.0 pulley .Chico.

There's a guy selling coated S&S headers on my local forum for $375. I really want them but I don't have much money right now. It would be a good time to install them when I have the motor all apart again.

I know a guy in my local club that might want them if he needs a buyer.

I'm gonna try working overtime to buy these... the price is right! Plus they should definitely compliment all of my mods plus the new ones that will be going on soon.

Well, i already ordered the 1.9's, i was going to do the RR 1.95's, but for the price, i had to settle. I was planning to go with the full size intercooler, but the SS is much cheaper. If what you guys say is true, and i run a 13.2-13.3 with the 1.9's and 3.4 then an SS IC would be high 12's while the full size IC would be closer to a 12.50, right? and of course it all depends on the tune, which i can get very easily

I don't know about 12.50's, there is a guy on CGP running a 2.6" and ~20* timing on his top swap setup and he ran a 12.44 @112 mph. With a full size IC and a 3.0" pulley with that setup I think you would hit 12.80's or 12.90s. Either way traction is going to be a big problem and you need to think about getting at least some DR's.
