Cause the GTPs do not have a 2.94 Rear end angel

My point exactly -- a stock 6x-7x GTO does not have any where near the comfort as a newer GTP. Now put a better suspension, new interior (seats, radio etc..) a few performance mods on the 400 and you now have a car that is worth a shot stock for stock.

Well you are also quoting a Judge numbers i remember seeing a comparison to the old and new GTO and they where quoting a judge but i remember the number being in the high 14's. so a non judge goat should be close. Althought i think the gp will start pull back around 100 just my 2 cents. BTW my cousin has a 68 442 400 small block it will haul major pooty pooh but i would guess that in top end the gtp will start catching because his car is done at about 90 maybe 100

He's probably running a 4.10 rear or even lower.

I saw this the other night at like 3 in the morning (insomnia). It was a classic car afficionado's wet dream. I didn't realize the Buick GS had over 500 lbs of torque. I love that car.

I think it'll depend on what you want the car to do. Handling and overall performance, anything newer, especially a GP will do better for you. With of course the exception of straight line acceleration, the GP will stop better, be more responsive, handle better, and ride better. The old domestics were pretty much good for straight line stuff, and that's about it. But, like I said, it depends on what you want to do with the car and how you drive.
