It runs great!!!
The transmission rebuild seems to be a success, this is because it runs good now!!
I also swung by Murrays auto-parts after words in a good "buying mood."
I got some car wash, a mitt, all kinds of fun stuff to gussy her up next time its nice outside....(its been cold here lately...chicago that is.)
Anyyyyway....
So on my to checkout I notice this octane booster stuff, supposivley this stuff had nitro in it or something.
Well i figured...what the heck!
Put the stuff in and la de da on my way...
Im not too sure if it really improved my cars performance or if the tranny was just actually getting the power to the wheels finally...w/e it was she runs great!

It's all BS. Next time you need some octane booster, stroll to the paint section and pick up a bottle of acetone. Add about 2 ounces to the tank.

Glad the cars back and running. Don't be too hard on the new tranny.

Look at the label if it says raises octane 3 points it doesn't mean 91 will turn to 94. It means it will raise the octane to 91.3 There are some legitimate ones out there. Like concentrated race fuel. Torco is a maker.

Acetone is the way to go. But that octane booster didnt change much at all

Now I have the new stanny im taking it easy...i never realized how many impatient people are really on the road.
You would THINK with gas being so expensive people would drive slower...riiiight?
People dont make sense alot of the time.

I've been following people going 45 everyone and its killing me. I go the speed limit or a hair above.

Why use acetone instead of an octance booster? And how often would you use it?

Acetone increases the octane like I said above most 99% of commercial octane boosters are snake oil and are nothing but a rip off.
