how come when i hit a pebble in the road it sounds like im gonna lose the rear end and everything attached? can i fix it myself?

Even if they were changed at 100,000 you still need new struts anyways.

And the strut mounts. Check the springs.

i can do those myself huh? i think i remember seeing a post about struts somewhere in here...probably a good time to lower my ride too huh...how much you guys been payin' to bring your rides down an inch or so? strusts and shocks? kyb struts and koni shocks or is there somethin a little cheaper but still good. i guess ill probably jump on ebay...i hate this part of the process. knowin what needs to be done but not knowin how much its gonna cost

The KYB struts can be ordered through Performance Parts for $180 because clubgp has an offer. The Konis will be more expensive. The springs around $230 -$250 new.

thanks, any idea on the time it takes, my buddy has done it to his celica, but ive never really done any suspension work before, you think we can do it in one sunday

Yeah, it can. I STRONGLY suggest an air compressor to help things go faster.

You'll need a spring compressor if you leave the stock springs in. Or you can take it to a local shop and have them swap the springs on your struts. Napa might even do it for you.
