BUT I painted my projectors. I'm at work now so I will take some pics tonight and post them, just wanted to get you guys waiting anxiously.

They look much better and I also got rid of the ugly stained look on top of the housings while I had them off the car.

It's very similar to yours, but not as creative lol. It has no design, just solid black.

I think it will look 100 times better than what they currently look like. Their is no amber reflector and I can now use hyper white bulbs without having a blue yolk effect like stock lights have.

Will also make the front look more aggressive i think and you won't see the stained housings any longer.

I just got them in this morning. I'm disappointed, I really don't like them. Maybe it would look OK on black projectors like Tbat's, but not so much on chrome. I have dial up so it takes a long time to upload, I will try a few pics tonight.

I'm really pissed, I thought it would look better than it did, maybe it needs a wax, idk, it just doesn't look right. And Idk how i'm going to get them back the way they were, after wetsanding the lense will be all hazy, will clearcoat fix that up if I do decide to go back?

lol, well your kinda screwed lol, you can wetsand with maybe 2000grit then use a high speed polisher and maybe try to get them to come back but no garentees

Someone on a local forum just did his headlights in his mercury and brought them right up to new and he used the headlight restoration kit, I could always try that.

maybe the car just needs waxing or something, idk. I am going to wax it tonight. when the lights and car were wet when I washed it this morning, the colours seemed to match more evenly between the lights and the paint of the car and it looked much better, so I'm hoping that is it.

If not, I guess I am SOL.

Or it could be that I have everything back to stock. I am comparing what it looks like now to what it looked like in summer with everything on it.

it's similar to having black corner capsules with chrome headlight capsules.

EDIT: I've been looking at the black capsule corners and comparing them to mine. The black capsules have the white border where the lense is epoxied to the housing. I think I need to sand away the niteshades around the edge of the lights and leave the chrome border/outline. I think that's why I don't like them. Their is nothing to differentiate between the light, hood, fender and bumper.

Headlight is kind okay but not my favorite type. Hopefully, you don't get risk for buy $300+ something pulled by police for "waste" headlights tint job.

well they did not come out as well as I had hoped so I am having them sanded down and professionally tinted with black clear coat. I hope I like it more.

I don't have any pics of them with the lights on at night, I will try to take some tonight but I might wait till they are redone before I post them.

The redness up close is from the flash, they don't actually look like that, with or without the signals on.

yeah their are lots of chips but most if not all were their before I bought it in January. The car is also 12 yrs old with original paint and I imagine has been in a fender bender. Me driving 90% highway probobly doesn't help though. It is getting repainted in spring so I don't really care.

The pics in my sig weren't photoshopped, it was waxed and the pic was taken for further away and at a different angle with a lower quality cam so I think that's why you can't see them. Also these new pics were taken on a new 10 mp cam and right up close so they are catching more detail.

But you are right, my paint does suck lol. Next to the rusty gas door it is the ugliest part of the car.

I understand for 12 years old car. When I was on grand prix hunting last April 2008 for my "winter beater". There are lot of nasty grand prix at cheap used car dealership than your car. I was looking for black or navy color but until I saw other silver. I start fall love this car but color is same. 50K mileage is better than nothing.

Don't take a look under side skirt. You might have ton of rusty since you live in Canada.

The bottom is not that bad actually, pretty good shape.

The paint and body panels on the other hand is another story.

You ruined them.

looking back at pics I took yesterday with my phone I think they look not bad.

I'm really hoping the new tinted clear coat will fix it.

thats how I feel. The pic posted of up close is prob not the best either, the flash makes it look red when it's really not, it's just a different shade of black compared to the car.

I am getting them redone tomorrow so expect some more pics coming Friday, hopefully better ones!

Good news: I got them sanded down and tinted with real clear coat, they look sick now. I will take some good pics tomorrow when it's bright out if I can get a good camera. For now I'll have to upload just some pics from my iphone.

The turn signals, even with just regular bulbs are still clearly visible during the day, can't wait to put in my LED's, orange/yellow bulbs are shit.

Your bumper looks almost as bad as mine in the daytime lol .. i really dislike how the bottom of the bumper, where you house the grills, hit everything, i feel bad for you having your car lowered too =(

I like the tint though they look really nice, and i'm most definately jealous of your projectors, one day i'll have some .. one day.

The signals are visible at night, not so much during the day but I hope to fix that with my LED's.

Yeah, the car did not have the best life before I got it. It'll be getting repainted next spring which, as you can see, it really needs :p

Chick I bought it from drove it into her garage door opening I think. All dents and rust are getting taken care of when it's time for paint.

After looking at it more I don't care for it. It makes the car looke crosseyed. The clear area is just too narrow. Maybe when you redo if you just do the signal portion.

I've already redone them. They look the same in pics just about but much different in person.

I had contemplated leaving the chrome corner but thought it would look funny and their would be a nasty edge from the thickness of the paint.

Even before tinting the corners I had always thought that the projectors make it look cross eyed. I think maybe the tint just makes it a little more noticeable.

At first I hated the look, but now it keeps the car more monotone and I like it. It would look much better if their was just a white reflector instead of the amber but since it's not possible to open up the light I had to do next best thing. I would have rathered tint the inside of the housing instead of the lens, but again, not possible.

Overall, i'm happy and it has grown on me. I'm sure some ppl like it and some don't. Which was the case before I tinted them.
