so i built my fwi, but i had to resort to pvc due to the fact that i could not find ABS pipe anywhere... so, i checked out stores that carried krylon fusion to paint it, but none of the krylon fusion said high temp on it... it just seemed like any normal can of spray paint... is this the stuff you guys use? or is it a special high temp krylon fusion??

or you could use a an adhesion promoter and then paint with high temp paint the adhesion promoter will stick to the plastic better than reg paint would ... just a thought

i was thinkin about doing the engine cover as well, and probably the fuse box cover... is krylon fusion going to hold up to that as well?

You dont really need high temp paint. Normal paint will do. Just get some high grit sand paper to get it textured do a couple coats of primer (adhesion promoter) and then paint over it.

You only need high temp paint for parts that will get over 500* F or for a good rule of thumb if it'll burn you when its hot. Just because a part sits under the hood doesn't mean it gets that hot where you have to use high temp paint.

If you paint your intake tube, don't paint where the filter will attach to it. If you paint where the filter attaches, there won't be any grip and the filter will keep slipping off.
