I put a 24" Thrush Magnum glasspack where the resonator used to be. The sound is almost perfect. I wish I would have went with an 18" because it is a little quieter than I would like. The harsh raspy sound is gone. I just wish I could of kept the idle sound I had before with the sound I have now.

Hmm..and no other exhaust work. Mine sounded great till togs and a cat delete came into effect. I need to go with a resonator or glasspack of some sort. Where did you get it at? I may be getting a resonator from a buddy in two weeks during out mod day.

Autozone wanted $29.99 for a flowtech 24" glasspack, but they had to order it, advanced auto sold me a 24" Thrush glasspack for $27 with my 10% discount. You guys with a 2.5" systems can get a 17" Dynomax ulta welded muffler to use as a resonator for $40 from Summit. Thrush has a 1 yr warranty. A dynomax glasspack has a limited lifetime warrenty, and the ultra welded muffler has a 1 yr also.

I posted sound clips of both cars new exhaust today. Enjoy and let me know what you think of my budget exhaust. OK I also did one of my Chevelle, so sue me. GP-$20 resonator, 2x$40 mufflers, $179 DP = $279 Monte-$40 resonator, 2x$70 mufflers, $179 DP, $150 cat back (done in 2002)=$510(ouch) http://picasaweb.google.com/72chevman/CarStuff

Exactly The Monte Carlo sounded nice as well but that 72 is a beast. I was waiting for you to rev the heck out of it sound I could crap in my pants.  ............................................................................................................................................Still waiting for the monster rev.
