S1X isn't mild. It's a decent cam, like the XP. They're the biggest you can run without modifying the heads. A VS/S1 is mild, and S4X/XPZ is screaming.

Yep, I did the cam... and you can tell it's cammed by listening to the exhaust! It's got a pretty sexy tone at idle smile

Okay...I really want a GTP. What would I need from the junkyard to make my 97 GT into a GTP? Also, since this is my commute car, what would the gas requirements be?

Well for u guys that are intrested the L36 SS kit is just about the same price as the top-end swap, but alot less work. Granted that ZZP doesn't help with the out of stock for 6 months ,but when ZZP decided to put the rails on hold for like 7 months 3/4 of the people who bought them backed out so they have alot still instock.

i think if i do a top end swap or something like it i am going to get that kit from zzp and just find parts for my cores. because then i dont have to switch out everything under the sun and then i dont have to do a motor swap or anything i really really like that kit and i think i could get it installed in a short amount of time if i had the kit...... well lets just see how much money i can make this summer... and then how much of it i can hide from the parents.... b4i i have to go to college ... or buy all of my tools for college... lol

I have a feeling we're gonna need another addition to the 97-03 FAQ page... lots of questions regarding the top end swap/ZZP SS kit lately
