If I install an after market radio can i retain my steering wheel controls, and heads up display for radio. Do I have to buy something special to accomplish this? Do i have to buy a certain brand of radio? I want to put a new radio in my car but not at the expense of loosing the HUD, or steering wheel controls. Please let me know, links and websites will be appreciated.

There are a couple of aftermarket HUs that will work but I can't remember which. Most will need and interface unit which can be bought from PFYC. Best thing to do would be to puruse crutchfield.com for a little research.

i bought that thing and i couldnt get it to work with all my buttons. its a PITA. good luck to you if you try

PAC swi-x works great with our cars. The HUD you will lose no matter what though.
