I've notice that my passanger front window is going down very slow. Once the window gets down to the middle, it goes down at normal speed. Same thing happens when i'm closing the window. Any ideas? is the motor about to die on me?

Thanks for the help.

You may need to grease the tracks. When my motor died, it just died a sudden death. But it has been known to reincarnate every once in a while... (ie, it started working again)

You think you need a "thicker" grease... I used the white lithium grease. I have no idea what the "official" grease you're supposed to use tho.

Ignore my horrible grammar... I meant, "I think you need a thicker grease..."

Just in case you thought I was slamming you or something :p

I assume you have to take the door apart. I had my motor replaced under warranty on the GP. The lithium bit was for a different car that had a similar problem to you. (My GP's windows just died a horrible death, ie didn't work period)

The access holes on that car were fairly big, such that the tracks are in easy reach... I've never actually seen the innards of my GP's doors (yet)... I can look in the helms when I get home, and see if there are any special directions...

Well, I refuse to take the doors apart just because I am afriad of breaking something else...so i will continue to shoot some WD40 in the track (with that straw like shooter). It lasts about 2 weeks and then it starts squealing again...I told the dealer about this and they replaced everything and greased the track many many many times, but it was never a permanent fix...so i give up because wd40 works just as well for now...

I had the same problem on my 98 GT. The window was very slow and then stopped working. It was very sporadic, never knew when it would work. I took it to the dealer and they had to replcae the window regulator. Part costs $313.00 + 160.00 for labor.
