I have one in the side panel of the center console on the passenger side. Something's loose down there; I don't know what, but moving it causes that noise.

Kicking it does, too.

The cricket noise was a common problem with the climate control on the '98s. It happened with mine whenever I had the fan set to "1". I turned it up to 2 of turned it off to get around it. I bet you have the A/C odor too...

I took the entire glove box off of the car. Where is the blower fan??? I cant see a thing.

Please help!?!?

Glove box stays in place.
The panel below the glove box reveals the blower fan.
It doesn't look like a fan. It looks like the back of a motor housing. It is held up by 3 screws, and you need to remove the power supply before dropping the assembly, that's the hardest part.
