Since I'll be doin the red calipers, i figure ill do some underhood stuff too. so.....
what parts should i paint? (those black braces, engine mounts, anything else?)

and what colors are cool. my car is galaxy silver. ive seen some cool looking engine compartments with guys who used two different colors...but i'm no decorator/designer.

haha thanks!

Nope. If you're going to go with blue in the engine bay, then paint the calipers blue as well. I know that you're no decorator but I hope you're not color blind.

i would go with the blue for the calipers also if you're painting the engine bay blue.

Just be careful to pick a blue that goes well with the compartment. Careful with the blue caliper paint also. Some can be pretty tacky.

Could go with red. Red and silver doesn't look that bad. Has a Canadian theme to it.

Yes, I do.
I like red calipers no matter what your color scheme.
I would also suggest that no matter what color you go with, use G2 to paint your calipers. G2 is more durable than any spray can paint. It's brush on so you don't have to worry about over spray. It's very easy to put on. It would be a good idea to do it when your car can sit for 12-24 hours after your done, to give the catalyst long enough to harden properly.
G2 doesn't dry like paint, it's a polymer that uses a catalyst to harden.

I think blue looks good with silver, if I had a silver car id do blue. I painted alot of stuff red and black on my white car and i think that looks good, but im not sure about silver and red.

There's a guy over at ClubGP that has orange accents on his silver GP. It doesn't look too bad.

Duplicolor makes a paint for calipers. Its a brush on paint. I saw it at Autozone this past weekend. I wouold ahve bought it if they made orange. Ive been having a tough time finding all the right orange. Id like to go w/ a burnt orange cant seem to find it in a spray can.

Recipe for "burnt orange":
Paint all parts with fire-engine red.
Do not clear-coat, wax or polish.
Leave parts in direct sunlight or under intense lighting for approx. 2-3 years.
End result is a perfect "burnt orange".

Or, look online for sites that can custom mix paints, or factory match for a company that makes an orange color that meets your expectations.

Looks like that's the best option for what you want.

Either that one or the Orange Metallic. They want $54.85 for an 11oz can of paint and clear. I figure that will be enough for the calipers, lower front of the the front bumper cover, grill inserts and the door trim if I decide to to those not sure if that will look good or not.
