I am not a fan of the altezza tail lights on the 97-03 GPs, they look kinda ricey to me. I seen these on ClubGP and figured I would give it a shot. They turned out pretty good. ((((These pics are not mine}}}} I didn't take pics yet...just showing what they look like. They took a friggin long time to do, and I kinda screwed one up just a little bit, but not too bad.

And I figure if I don't like them down the road, I can always tint them.

That looks like a PITA to do, TXGP how hard was it to knock out the red lens, did you replace your bulbs with red ones?

They look better than the real ones! Some people did this mod with the 92-95 Grand Am GT tails so it's probibly the same. This is how they did it Way to clear your 92-95 Pontiac Grand Am GT tails!!! (GT ONLY!!!)
***To start off this is not my MOD! It was originally posted by Daniel Brice on GMPOWER.net and has been shot around through out the internet there-after.**
1) This MOD requires the following: 1 set of 92-95 Grand Am GT taillight assemblies, small flat head screwdriver, hair dryer, and maybe some extra epoxy for the re-seal.
2) First remove the tails from the car!
3) Then turn the hair dryer on and slowly move it across the epoxy seal that fits between the bulb caseing and the lense of either assembly. After it is heated up, slowly pry the flat head screwdriver between the lense and the caseing. (Move along the entire assembly in a step-by-step motion having the hair dryer blowing on the spot you are working on. Doing it this way will reduce the risk of cracking the lense!)
4) After you are finished prying the lense apart from the bulb caseing it should just fall off.
5) Then there is two possiablities: The first is there will be red film over the lense. If this is the case you will have to peel the film from the lense to make it clear. The second is there might be a red plastic piece covering the lense. If you see this then just pry it up apart from the lense.
6) Once you are done with one side move on to the next.
7) After both are apart it is time to reattach the lense to the caseing. You can either use the existing epoxy or redo the entire assembly with new. If using the old epoxy I would re-heat the glue with the hair dryer before reattaching. This way it will attach tighter and you will not have to worry as much about them fogging up.
8) Then after both sides are finished put both back on the car.
9) Once they are on you will need either red bulbs, clear bulbs with red bulb covers, or red led's to keep them legal.
10) You now have clear tails!

let me find the link to some pics for them..I haven't got pics of my car yet though.... Damn Red X's. They were a PITA, A major one. I used red LEDs. I bought the wrong ones cause that is all they had and I didn't want a ticket for white tail light bulbs. They still work, but blink hella fast. http://kobeworth.com/clear.jpg http://kobeworth.com/clear2.jpg I will get the link an the "how to" later this evening.

I don't remember what it is, but I don't think you have the wrong ones, but there is something else that you need to do to make them work properly. Does anyone know what it is that needs to be done to make the LED's work properly.

As long as they work for now.... The covers do not come off. I wish they did, but of course nothing is simple. You have to go through the bulb holes to do this.

My blinkers are very fast, but when I put my hazards on, they are normal speed.
