Finally broke down and purchased a new PCM. I got to say, its everything Ive heard it is.It only took 20 minutes to install. The car responds crisper, the acceleration is improved,shifting is more aggressive. For the price...there are not to many mods that deliver as they claim. If anyone out there is thinking about changing....stop thinking...do it.

I agree. It gave the car a different personality and I had to adjust to it. In addition to everything you said, it feels like the computer now can comprehend the CAI and add more fuel to accomodate.

To get your $100 core charge back.
I preferred to keep my core, incase it ever goes into the shop I can swap PCM's to keep them from hot rodding it, and to protect my I-PCM from being flashed.

If the car is younger than 9, you will need to do a case LEARN to make sure the crankcase is in sync with the computer. This can be done at the dealership.

...unless you have a 97. 97's don't require a case learn, you just swap the module.

thats great, Im glad to see em get used...I will be interested to see how you like em after/ during the spring "no pun intended" thaw. I still need to get the case learn done....next week. My next mod will removal and replacement of the stock air filter. I have a KN in place , but you can see the small contact area that air flows through. Im sure everyone has an opinion. Im looking for a clean install that doesnt look like it was put together in plumbing class.
