Does anyone have or know where i can get a factory service manual free? They run 100+ just for a book, and thats alittle ridiculous. If you have one, would you be so kind as to send it, or tell me where you got it from? Thanx

You really can't get them free unless they are someone is given it away which is likly to not happen. I think for the 100 I spent on the Gm service Manuals for my car it was worth it, only b/c the fix its that GM does for the car are all in the service manuals. So if something is wrong I go to the manaul look up the problem and try the troubleshoots...

It's not A book its four books. Fours books on Engine Controls, Transmission/Transaxle Diagnosis, Electrical Diagnosis, and ONe whole book on the car and all the GM part numbers.
You may not think so but its well worth the 100 if you work on the car yourself.

well, the ONLY things i would use this book for, are to see where things are located and the part numbers/names. For 100 dollars, i can do that just by inspecting the car myself. But thanx though.

If you don't want to spend $100+ on a set of factory shop manuals, you can pick up books like these at your local auto parts store. If you need more detailed info, you can purchase these. Hope that helps and good luck! cheers

If anyone's giving away free factory shop manuals, I'll take a set or three... wink

Sometimes you can luck out, I know here, the local library's have a sections FULL of full service manuals, the big 4-6" books with all the information you ever wanted to know, go there and xerox the pages you need for a situation... but in my experience, buying the book, even at the $100 price tag, it is WELL worth it!
