Just bought a 2002 today. It is a nice compliment for my 87 firebird. I am looking forward to working on it in the future if anyone has any tips for increasing the rreformance of the 3.1 let me know. I don't have a lot of money to spend right away but I am definatly looking into it.

Welcome!
If you're low on cash, the 3.1 is perfect for you. Like Herc said, not a whole lot out there for the 3.1's.

So what's the layout. The firebird will be the weekend car and the 3.1 the daily driver?

If a daily driver, the u-bend delete and CAI (maybe) is probably the best route. I wouldn't recommend a computer upgrade as daily drivers need to stay reliable. The mod money can be used for maintenance / uping the firebird smile

Thanx TastyBake I think I will take your advice as the Firebird wich was once almost mint when I bought it in 2000 is now a shadow of its former self after being in storage for 3 years while I served overseas. Still runs great but everyting else is giving me issues. In a couple of years I see a GPX in my future and possibly a late 3rd gen Firebird GTA or an 88 notchback if I can ever find one. I have been looking for one of those for years.
