If you are going turbo or swap, then go with 3". And if you had your catback replaced, then you want shorty I believe.

What exactly do you have and what do you want? If you go with a power adder, then you need 3". If you want cat or no cat, that is up to you. If you want replace your cat on the car now, then get a bolt in dp. If not, then get the shorty to bolt to the rear manifold and weld to the cat. Not familiar with the slp catback, buy doing a search, it looks like it bolts up to the ubend. If so, then you need to get a full dp. Suggest a bolt in.

Doesn't NY have emissions testing? If so you need to keep the cat. Irregardless it is a felony to remove it.

You can be fined up to $2500 for removing the cat, or any other emissions controls: US EPA: Don\'t Tamper With Emissions Controls! There's more info here: U.S. EPA I can think of better ways to spend $2500...

Yeah, that was my point with the radar jammer thread. You probably wouldn't get caught, and it would be a fun educational exercise to build one, but the hefty fine just isn't worth the risk. ESPECIALLY with the cat where you net no gains by removing it.

If you're going turbo, don't bother modding now. Save your money do it all at once.
